What is Acne?
Types Of Acne:
If you have acne, you may notice multiple types of pimples.
Whiteheads and blackheads (comedones) are considered common types of lesions
Blackheads:
Blackheads (comedones), can be seen on the skin's surface. These pimples' darker appearance is due to oxygen in the air, not dirt.
Whiteheads:
Whiteheads, also known as closed comedones, appear as raised bumps under your skin's surface. They keep their flesh color.
Among the inflammatory lesions that are more likely to leave scars on your skin are:
- Papules:
Hair follicles that are infected or inflamed are the source of these small, raised, red bumps.
- Pustules
The tips of these small, red pimples are filled with pus.
- Nodules:
Under your skin's surface, you'll find these clumps that are usually solid and painful.
- Cysts:
Most of the time, these large lumps under your skin are painful and contain pus.
Symptoms Of Acne:
- face,
- neck,
- back,
- shoulders, and
- chest
- scarring or skin discoloration, including dark spots (hyperpigmentation),
- redness,
- swelling, and
- pain when touched or not. Moreover, acne breakouts can also cause scarring or skin discoloration.
Causes Of Acne:
Sebum (oil) is released by the oil gland and travels up the hair to the skin via the pore. Thus, keeps your skin supple and lubricated.
- Pimples are caused when bacteria grow in a clogged pore and the oil cannot escape because your follicles produce too much oil.
- Your pores become filled with dead skin cells.
- Bacteria build up in your pores.
